Its location was absolutely gorgeous, on the best areas to explore, and in an absolutely stunning area. The breakfast here was absolutely superb and perfect with toast, home made bread, scones.

    Nothing not too like.

    fine garden
    diverse breakfast
    cute atmosphere
    remote location

Kilcatten Lodge features a fine garden that enhances the overall ambiance, with well-maintained landscapes and access to a lovely common area. The breakfast offered is diverse and satisfying, with homemade options that cater to various tastes. My accommodations were clean and spacious. The hosts, Noreen and Joe, ensured a cute atmosphere and shared insightful local recommendations.

The remote location requires careful planning for dining options.

Absoluteley fine grounds, but it certainly didn't make up for the lack of wi-fi and a coffee machine in my room. I thought i'd at least receive a complimentary gesture for those inconveniences. The breakfast choice was painfully limited. Almost considered leaving a good review, then just couldn't.

    rural scenery
    closed village
    restrictive breakfast

Cozy and spacious accommodations with beautiful rural scenery.

Unfortunately, we faced several challenges . The nearest village was completely closed on Monday when we arrived, which left us scrambling for food options. We had to drive to Clonakilty for lunch as the only dining spots nearby were limited. The request to pre-order breakfast at a set time felt restrictive after a long day of travel.

    Couples, you'll love it!

Noreen and Joe are very nice hosts, cute us like family. Breakfast was fantastic, especially that homemade granola, and the coffee was always available for late-night chats in the cozy kitchen.

It wasn't cheap, but worth every penny in the end.

Couple looking for a great stay

Noreen and Joe, and we loved that homemade granola at breakfast. The garden was a fantastic spot for us to unwind in the evenings, perfect after a long day.

It wasn't inexpensive, but honestly worth it for everything we got.
